The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Book vs. TV Show

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Book vs. TV Show

The Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are stories that everyone knows. I watched the Sherlock TV Show on BBC (via Netflix) and loved the humor and depth of the show, this made me want to read the books, to get more Sherlock Holmes. I normally read the book before the Movie/TV show but this time I felt like I didn’t need to because Sherlock Holmes is such a well known character, but I was wrong. It makes everything about the TV Show Sherlock better by reading the book and the book is better after watching the show. The BBC Sherlock is a fantastic adaptation to modern day for Sherlock. It got all the humor right and the way that Sherlock works. By reading the book it makes it so that you can get more out of the TV show, the show bases lots of concepts off of the books and references lots of things that Sherlock did in the book (like using tobacco ash to solve a mystery and writing a paper about it). I would recommend reading the Sherlock Holmes novels and watching the TV shows to anyone who likes a good mystery along with a great friendship.
