Cinder by Marissa Meyer is about a cyborg girl named Cinder who lives in the Eastern Commonwealth. (What is present day China) Cinder just wants to be accepted and to find a way to be free from her awful stepmother. Cinder is a master mechanic, but it is still a surprise when the prince comes and asks her to fix his android. It is even more embarrassing when she had only one foot on at the moment. Cinder has a lot to do, supporting her stepmother with the money from fixing thins and the plagues, without worrying about the ball. Until Cinder;s sister Peony gets the plague…. This book was a little slow to read but the story was really good. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes distopian and fairytales.
