Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) By Sarah J. Maas

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) By Sarah J. Maas

In the second book in Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series Celaena is the King’s Champion, and she now has to do the bidding of the king. Although that is not the only thing she has to do. Like before the first Queen of Adarlan, Elena, approaches Celaena to let her know that there is something bad coming and she has to destroy it. Celaena doesn’t want to be concerned with more then just doing her job, although she is even having issues there. The king has assigned her to kill the courtesan Archer, who the king said is working with rebel’s against Adarlan’s Empire. Celaena wants to give Archer a chance to escape (like she has with all her other ‘kills’) and also starts to learn about this supposed rebel group who said that they have found Aelin, the heir to the Terrasen throne. In this book Celaena has to start to face her past and secrets come up that she is not ready to face. This book is the perfect combination of a romance and fighting. I loved reading this book, it would make me laugh out loud often, and I couldn’t wait for the next one. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard or Divergent by Veronica Roth.
