Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier

Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier

Lately I have been hitting the jackpot when it comes to the books I am reading. This was another one that was right on the mark. This was a really short, sweet and engaging graphic novel where I was able to sit down for an hour and finish it in one sitting. In this story, Cat is moving to northern California for her sister who  has Cystic Fibrosis, which the coastal air will help with. As Cat struggles with balancing her own life with her sister’s, she finds help in the most unexpected places. This does a great job of being a coming of age story as well as a great read about balancing out your life when a sibling is seriously ill. This would also be a great story for coming to terms with difficult topics such as death. I also have to say that I loved the illustrations, especially the ghosts.
