The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan

The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan

Trials of Apollo is Rick Riordan’s new book about the god Apollo who had been turned mortal by Zeus. Zeus is blaming Apollo for the war with Gaea (for not foreseeing it), and for not keeping track of his Oracles, the Oracle of Delphi has been taken by the ancient monster Python. Apollo is now a mortal 16 year old boy who has to be become a servant to a Demigod and then complete trials to be able to become a god again. I was super excited to read this because I loved Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series and was excited for more. At first Apollo annoyed me as a main character, Apollo is very self-important and arrogant (he was a god) but eventually he grows into his mortal self. This book was the perfect ‘epilogue’ to the The Blood of Olympus, it summed up everything from the last series while setting up a new adventure.
