Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis by Robert D. Putnam

I read Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis by Robert Putnam for my education class. It discusses the way that socioeconomic status affects educational opportunities. Overall it brought up a few good points but I generally did not like this book. What I did not like was how it did not look at different way this intersects with other issues, like being part of the LGBTQIA community or having a disability. Although it did address how race and socioeconomic class interacted. I also did not like the way that it was written, it had lots of interviews that I liked, but after that it would ramble on for a while.
