The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness

This book was recommended by someone I did not expect to be a reader. This made me have to read it, I found that this book is good enough for a non reader to read, because it has some very unexpected twists and turns. This book is about Todd, who lives in the New World. As far as he knows, the town he lives in is the only town in the New World. As Todd finds out, he does not know everything and some of the things he finds out are horrifyingly shocking. I found this book to be really gory, but there where a lot of unexpected plot twists too. The ending was very unexpected, yet expected at the same time. Something that was really cool about this book was the concept of Noise. Where everybody’s thoughts are always being projected in a radius like thing around them, everybody can hear everybody else’s thoughts because of this and there seems to be no secrets. Another cool thing that this book deals with is the concept of what makes a boy a man. I recommend this book to anybody who wants an older, more mature version of The Giver. Another thing that this book deals with is the concept of what makes a boy a man.
