Legend: The Graphic Novel by Marie Lu, Leigh Dragoon, Kaari

Legend: The Graphic Novel by Marie Lu, Leigh Dragoon, Kaari

I loved Legend, so if it had anything to do with it, I would for sure be reading it. Adding onto my love of Legend is also my developing interest in graphic novels and it would be a no brainer to read. This book did a really good job of staying true to the story of Legend. For people who have not read Legend, it is about Day and June. Day is a rebel and tries to mess up the Republic in every way possible while June is the Republic’s prodigy and does everything they say. When June is sent to catch Day, she starts to find more questions then answers and many of her beliefs are questioned. I really like how “they” are starting to make popular books into graphic novels because that means that more people are getting to read and know the great story. I gave this four stars because it was good, but was not quite as detailed and it could have been a little bit more in-depth. But I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of dystopian or interest in Legend but is too daunted by its size. It is also a nice refresher for someone who read Legend a long time ago and is trying to remember the plot details.
