We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart is about Cadence Sinclair Eastman and what she can’t remember. Two years ago, during summer fifteen, there was an accident that caused her to have migraines and not remember what happened during the summer of fifteen. Every year since she was little, Cadence has gone to Beechwood Island with her family where she hung out with her two other cousins that were her age, during summer eight, Gat joins them. Since then, they have been called the Liars, because they were so close and did everything together. But Cadence can’t remember what happened during summer fifteen and she feels like something drastic happened. This book was pretty slow but then there was a major plot twist which made it worth reading. I would recommend this book to people who like stories that have lots of metaphor and hidden meaning in them.
