A List of Cages by Robin Roe

A List of Cages by Robin Roe

A List of Cages by Robin Roe is about a boy named Julian and a boy named Adam. Adam was Julian’s foster-brother until Julian moved in with his Uncle after his parents died. But when Adam sees Julian at school one day Adam sees that something isn’t right with Julian. He soon befriends Julian, who is happy to see Adam again and they start to spend time together. This book is really sad, if you read it prepared for you heart to be broken. Julian’s parent’s died when he was around 9 years old and he has not really grown up emotionally from there. He still loves the same children books he used to read as a kid and only does things that he did with his parents. This book shows a new perspective on what grief and loss can do to people. I haven’t read anything like this and I couldn’t put it down. I would only recommend this book if you are prepared for a heartwrenching story.
