I Have Lived A Thousand Years: Growing Up In The Holocaust (Elli Friedmann #1) by Livia Bitton-Jackson

I have read a lot of concentration camp memoirs, but this one was really different for me. Something that I really liked about it is the way that this story not only had what happened to her, but also the mental factors too. Not just the fear, but the humiliation too. I really loved this book and there was never a moment of being bored. Another interesting part of this book is that it takes place in Hungary, and is a true story. In the book Elli has to go back and forth to Auschwitz and other concentration camps. I really loved this book. There were parts that were inconsistent, but the book was still really good. I recommend this book to anyone who likes World War II stories.
