I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai and Christina Lamb

This is a great book. Everything about it is really informative and stimulating. This is because as Malala narrates how the Taliban takes over power in Pakistan and how she became an education activist with her father,  it also provokes lots of thinking of the how and why these events come to be. I loved the way she told her story making it simple to understand the long and complex history of Pakistan. She told her story in such a humble way, making the book about what needs to change and why instead of about herself. She is a great example of what I hope to be and is a great role model for others.  Another thing that I really liked about this book was the conversations that were started because someone saw that I was reading it. I would recommend this to everyone because it gives great understanding to the situation concerning Afghanistan and Pakistan along with promoting tolerance of all people, regardless of religion or gender.
