Push Girl by Chelsie Hill

Push Girl by Chelsie Hill

I got this book at a book convention. I had heard about the TV show Push Girls and it seemed interesting to me although I have never watched it. Normally I am wary of Tv show to book conversions but I was excited to read this and had very high hopes for it. It turns out that it did not meet all of my expectation but it was still a good read. The main character is Kara, she has the perfect boyfriend and loves to dance, when she is on her way home from a party a drunk driver hits her and leaves her paralyzed. Throughout the book Kara learns what it is like to live in a wheelchair and what being an inspiration really is. When I finished the book I was surprised to find myself continuing to think about Kara. I recommend this book to anyone who likes The Running Dream by: Wendelin Van Draanen.
