Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) by Tahereh Mafi

Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) by Tahereh Mafi

Shatter Me is by one of my favorite authors, Tahereh Mafi, who also wrote Furthermore. And so I read this book because I loved Tahereh. But I didn’t love this book as much as I loved Furthermore. This book is about Juliette and Adam. Juliette has the power to kill anyone she touches so The Restablishment locks her up for her own good. The planet is dying and so The Restablishment is taking power and regulating everything. And soon they take an interest in Juliette. Adam is the first person Juliette talks to in over 200 days when they meet. And they soon learn to get along. This book was good but not fantastic because it was a dystopian romance novel. I love dystopian books but I don’t like romances (I didn’t need to learn about how blue his eyes were). Although it was interesting because I have never read a dystopian romance before. I loved the world that was built and wished I could have learned more about it. I don’t know if I will read the rest of the series, because I don’t enjoy romance books, but I do love the world that was built. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.
