The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #1) by Rick Riordan

The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #1) by Rick Riordan

The Sword of Summer is one of Rick Riordan’s best books. I read it as fast as I could and was sad when I finished it because I enjoyed it so much. I was very invested in the characters and loved the “Percy Jackson Sassiness” that had transferred over. It also made a few references to Percy Jackson and it made me smile. There were also a ton of laugh out loud moments. I also really loved the characters and miss them already. This book was about Magnus Chase and his heritage, which happens to destine him as the one to save the world. Magnus ends up working with an odd assortment of friends, an Elf, a Dwarf, and an Ex-Valkyries all while being dead. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good story, and lovable characters while at the same time learning about Norse Mythology.
