The Third Twin by C. J. Omololu is about a set of twins, Ava and Lexi and their third twin Alicia. Alicia is a sister that Lexi and Ava made up, if anything goes wrong then Alicia did it. Ava and Lexi are in their senior year of high school and when they would want to go out on a date with a guy they would not usually go out with they will dress up as Alicia. But one day the boy that Alicia went out with turns up dead and Alicia is the suspect. But Alicia doesn’t exist. So Ava and Lexi have to figure out how to clear their names, since they are Alicia. But there have been lots of coincidences that don’t add up. I am not normally a big fan of murder mystery’s but I liked this one. It was unpredictable and I also liked the twins, being a twin myself. The twin aspect was almost right, it is only a little off of how twins are. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes murder mysteries. It also address the issue of figuring out what to do with your life when it does not go as planned, so I would also recommend this book to anyone that feels trapped in the role they think they have to play.
